UPSC CDS Selection Process

The assortment of the eligible and well skilled contenders will be made on the basis of the written examination as well as SSB interview. Qualified contenders in the written examination will be called for the next round that is interview. CDS SSB carries two stages that are stage I and stage II. Stage I is comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception* Description Test (PP&DT) where as stage II carries Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference more than 4 days.

CDS Negative Marking Scheme

It is informed to applicants that Combined Defence Services Examination carry negative marking in the examination so be careful while attempting the question.  For each question if wrong answer is given by the candidate then One third (0.33) of the marks will be deducted. If any aspirants give more than one answer it will be treated as wrong answer only, there will be same penalty for that question. If question is left blank and no answer is given by the candidate, then no penalty will be applied for that question.

UPSC CDS Exam Pattern

Question papers include Elementary Mathematics and General Knowledge will be set in English as well as Hindi language. Question is asked in objective type that is 4 alternatives will be given and one has to select anyone. Aspirants will have to write the paper with own hands in any circumstances they are not permitted to get help from a scribe. To use the calculator will not be permitted as individuals can’t carry it inside the examination hall. Answers with be given will blue ball pen only. Reach at least 20 minutes before in the examination premises. All electronics item and any communication device are barred in the exam so make sure you will not bring it inside the hall.
